The 12 Areas Of Life Balance

Updated: Feb 3

You know that time in your life where everything feels "right"? You feel like everything is going well for you and the stars seem to be aligned. Chances are that you have a good amount of balance in all areas of your life, from work to play and everything in between.

Conversely, there are times when we feel that nothing seems to be going our way and it's easy to feel that "life" is against us. It's important in these times to stop and take check of where these areas of unhappiness or stress exist, and put a plan in place to remedy the situation to the best of our ability. There will always be factors that are out of our control, events or situations that affect us negatively. It is in these times that seeking balance is even more crucial, so that we place ourselves in an environment that nurtures us rather than hinders.

Renowned wellness advocate Vishen Lakhiani of Mind Valley has identified 12 Areas Of Life Balance that cover those aspects of your life that most significantly influence your happiness and productivity. Take time to review each area, and give yourself a score out of 10 (1 being low and 10 being high). This isn't a test! You don't need to share these scores with anyone, but it's really good to be completely honest.
