Thomas Hamel brings a wealth of international design experience as well as extensive travel to his role as founding director at Thomas Hamel & Associates. With award-winning projects, both in Australia and around the world, Thomas has developed a truly international contemporary design style that transcends fleeting fashions and trends.
His work has graced the cover of many design magazines, both here and abroad, and his acclaimed book “Thomas Hamel, Residence” beautifully showcases his intelligent and sophisticated global style.
During this immersive Master Class Thomas will unveil the process he and his team follow to realise a truly global interior. Some of the key principles to be investigated include:
- Taking cues from the existing architecture
- Incorporating bespoke cabinetry designs
- Integrating unique building materials sourced from around the world
- Sourcing decorative and architectural lighting
- Adding layers through well-curated international furnishing
- Sharing insights into global manufacturing and sourcing
Tea and coffee will be served on arrival. Following the class, Thomas will join us for a light lunch in his Surry Hills studio where we will also be offering a selection of wines and soft drinks.
