VIC - Ballarat Design Tour

Join us for the TDC Social Club regional Design Tour in Ballarat.  Hosted by Mick Moloney of Moloney Architects, the Ballarat Design Tour provides VIP access to their acclaimed projects, Lyons House and new Country Road flagship store located in a converted neo-classical bank.

Awarded Renovation/Addition Project of the Year at the 2023 HIA Western Victorian Housing Awards, Lyons House is a stunning example of the studio's design ethos of creating solid, bold and modern architectural forms for functional living. During this full day immersive experience Mick will provide insights into the studio's design philosophy, client briefs, creative response, site challenges, and the key to collaborating with trusted trades to deliver exceptional design outcomes for clients.

We'll also enjoy an exclusive 4 course degustation lunch by chef Tim Foster at Ballarat's famed new restaurant Babae. Turning fresh local produce into refined and exquisite dishes, Tim's elegant paddock to plate menu compliments Babae's design savvy interior. The Ballarat Design Tour is set to be an inspiring and immersive TDC Social Club event not to be missed.

TIME

Starting at 10:15am.  Concluding at 4:30pm.

TRAVELLING TO BALLARAT

If you wish to travel by train to and from Ballarat on the day, meet at 8:15am at Southern Cross Station. We will be catching the train departing at 8:36am SHARP.  Please refer to departure boards on arrival for the Platform number. Make your way to the first carriage at the front of the train. On arrival in Ballarat, please ensure you get off at Ballarat Station (NOT Wendouree).

This is an industry-only event. Places are limited so we ask for your commitment when registering for Social Club events. Minimum numbers apply in order for the event to go ahead. If you cannot make the event, please log into the Members Lounge on the TDC website and cancel your attendance at least 24 hours prior. This will enable us to extend an invitation to other Members on our waitlist.
